10 Great Ways to Generate More Facebook Business Page Likes

Generate more Facebook likes

Generating more 'likes' on your Facebook Business Page is essential, regardless of the niche that you are in.  Keep in mind that the more 'likes' a page has, the larger their potential audience is.  The larger the potential audience, the higher the likelihood that a business is able to reach their prospective clients or customers.

If you are a newbie when it comes to Facebook or utilizing your Facebook Business Page, fear not, because below is a list of some fantastic ways to generate more 'likes' for your business page.

#1 – Invite your e-mail contacts.

#2 – Invite your friends from your Personal Profile.

#3 – Host a giveaway for “likes”.
Note – Facebook has rules for the way you can and can’t do promotions. This is one reason it pays to have a professional social media consultant or manager you can strategize with, unless you are willing to keep up to date on Facebook’s rules and changes.

#4 – Provide a link to your Business Page in the “About” section of your personal profile.

#5 – Include a link to your Facebook Business Page in the signature of your email program.

#6 – Make sure your calls to action inviting people to “Like” your page are strong and to the point. (Ask people to do one thing – Like your page.)

#7 – Targeted Facebook advertising can help by introducing your page to a wider audience of people likely to be interested in it based on the demographic information you used to target your ad.

#8 – Make sure your posts on Facebook are highly visual. Posts and pages with great visuals get more likes than those without.

#9 – Connect your page with a cause. This works especially well for nonprofits, but brands have been able to use this tactic as well. Think about what your goal is. Is it to become the number one provider of service in your niche? Let your audience know that by clicking “like” on your page, they’re helping you to reach your goal of becoming the number one business in your field. People like to be part of a cause and they’re more likely to do what you ask.

#10 – Post content related to trending topics – but make sure to tie it into what you do. If you can connect your expertise with something that’s going on in the world, you’re likely to gain interest (and Likes) from people who want to know more about that topic.

Try out these tips and let me know which one is your favorite or which one works best for your business. Hope to hear from each and everyone of you soon!

  4. Good tips, Edmund! They are easy to do too. Now what I would like to know is: How can you what is highly visible? Images generate interest but facebook does not make them very visible, but they open up text posts to more people. Are there any rules? Good to know that I better follow the FB rules when I do promotions.

    • Marita, you can look at your analytics to determine what type of posts are doing better than others. That should be a good indicator to point you in a better direction.

  7. Great tips Edmund.  Love #1 and #6.  which is prompting me to do a Solo email to my list to invite people to like my Business page.  I have a call to action in my weekly newsletter but I realize there is so much in the newsletter that it is not a focused call to action.  Thanks so much!!
